The three are now one step closer to being EGOT winners—aka winners of a Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.
Beyoncé is nominated for her third Emmy, for co-directing her HBO visual album and film Lemonade. She has won 17 Grammys as a solo artist and three with Destiny's Child.
Adele is nominated for her first Emmy, for Outstanding Variety Special for Adele Live in New York City. The singer has two out of the four EGOT awards; She won her first and only Oscar in 2013, for her theme song to the James Bond movie Skyfall, and has also received 10 Grammys since 2008.
Gooding Jr. is nominated for his first Emmy as well, for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for his leading role in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. He previously won an Oscar in 1997 for his part in Jerry Maguire.
EGOT-Winning Stars: Only 12 stars are EGOT honorees. The list includes Audrey Hepburn, Rita Moreno, Whoopi Goldberg and Mel Brooks.
In 1954, Hepburn, one of the most famous Hollywood actresses of all time, won an Oscar for her leading role in Roman Holiday and She won a Tony that year for Ondine.
In 1993, she won an Emmy in 1993 for Outstanding Individual Achievement—Informational Programming for Gardens of the World with Audrey Hepburn and a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album For Children for Audrey Hepburn's Enchanted Tales. Hepburn died that year at age 63 and was honored posthumously with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the 1993 Oscars.
Moreno, a veteran musical performer, received an Oscar for her performance in the1961 movie West Side Story and two Emmys in the '70s for appearances on The Muppet Show and The Rockford Files. In 1972, she and Bill Cosby both received the Grammy for Best Recording for Children for The Electric Company. Moreno won a Tony in 1975 for The Ritz.
Goldberg is a non-traditional EGOT winner, as she received two Daytime Emmys, including one for The View (and has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy nine times), an Oscar for her role in the 1991 film Ghost, a Grammy in 1985 for a recording of her Broadway show and a 2002 Tony for co-producing the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie.
Brooks, creator of The Producers musical, has won four Emmys, an Oscar for screenwriting for his 1967 comedy film that inspired the musical and a 2005 movie revival, plus three Grammys and three individual Tonys.

Foxx won an Oscar for his performance in the 2004 film Ray and shared a Grammy in 2009 with T-Pain for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals for "Blame It."
Hudson won an Oscar for the 2007 musical film Dreamgirls and won a 2008 Grammy for Best R&B Album for her self-titled record.
Smith won an Oscar last year for his theme song for the James Bond movie Spectre and has four Grammys.

Lloyd Webber has won three Grammys and three Tonys, including for his musicals Cats and Evita. He received an Oscar in 1997 for co-writing a the song "You Must Love Me" for the film adaptation of the latter, which starred Madonna. He was also nominated for two Oscars for movie versions of his hit shows Jesus Christ Superstar and The Phantom of the Opera.
