Although media outlets reported last month that Whoopi was locked in for the upcoming season, her tweet clarifies that the deal has only just been set in stone.

The confirmation means that the "Hot Topics" panel will look pretty similar to its current lineup, with Joy Behar and Paula Faris already committed to the season and regular contributor Sara Haines in talks to join the round table. No word yet on whether current co-hosts Raven-Symoné or Candace Cameron-Bure will be back in their seats as well.

Whoopi has a busy year ahead of her: In addition to working on The View, she'll be hard at work as executive producer of Strut, a new Oxygen reality series about transgender fashion models.
