Ashley Graham is incredibly proud of her curves, and one of her biggest goals is to encourage other women to be proud of theirs, too.

So when the model heard about Amy Schumer calling out Glamour magazine for labeling her as "plus size," she wasn't entirely supportive.

Chatting with Cosmopolitan magazine during her cover interview for the August issue, Ashley explained, "I can see both sides, but Amy talks about being a big girl in the industry. You thrive on being a big girl, but when you're grouped in with us, you're not happy about it? That, to me, felt like a double standard."

Interestingly enough, Ashley has also worked to drop the "plus size" from her career title, but she says she still represents it. "Just because I'm not calling myself plus size doesn't mean I'm not representing a woman who is," she explained. "I'm giving curvy women a seat at a table that we've never been invited to before—a table with high-end fashion people who have never considered us beautiful."

In fact, Ashley's Cosmo cover is her very first for the publication—another stepping stone in her successful modeling career.

But work aside, the brunette bombshell is making strides in her personal life as well. For example, in her relationship with husband Justin Ervin. Throughout her extreme rise to fame over the last year, social media has become an outlet for people to comment on their relationship, and they've had to learn how to overcome that together.

"One comment on Instagram was, 'I knew a girl her size could only be with a black guy,'" she revealed. "I think that's so ugly. But we talk about the fact that I'm white and he's black all the time. I've seen how racist America is. It's opened my eyes to how ignorant I have been, how white privilege has taken over a lot of my thoughts and actions because it's just something that I take for granted."
