Taylor Swift is famous for leading a female squad filled with familiar famous faces. However, when it came time to celebrate the Fourth of July surrounded by her closest ladies, some were noticeably absent.

Throwing a seaside bash in honor of Independence Day has become somewhat of a tradition for the Grammy winner after three years of festivities. However, this year, as the "Shake It Off" songstress commemorated the holiday in Rhode Island surrounded by her new beau Tom Hiddleston and a throng of stars, it was clear the Crimson Peak actor was not the only new face among the crowd of surprise guests.

While some of Swift's standard attendees, including supermodels Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Cara Delevingne, were in attendance much like in years past, a handful of Swift's other besties spent their Fourth of July weekends elsewhere. Though there were unexpected new guests like Orange Is the New Black's Uzo Aduba and Blake Lively to join the list, longtime close pal Selena Gomez opted to throw her own celebration in between concerts for her Revival world tour. Here's a breakdown of all of the other original Independence Day party guests that didn't make it to this year's bash:

Empire's Serayah may be a bonafide member of Swift's "Bad Blood" crew, but she was missing from the party this year after having celebrated with the singer last year.

Instead, she attended the Essence Music Festival and then took in the fireworks from Chicago.

Soooo many girls, soooo little time. ???? #jamesknight

Actress Jaime King shares a close bond with Taylor—she's the godmother of King's second son, Leo Thames Newman.

However, instead of making cakes with her famous friend like in previous years, the Hart of Dixie star was busy spending time with her two boys indoors over the holiday weekend.

Two years ago, Lena Dunham joined Swift's Fourth of July posse, but this year, she stuck to spending the holiday with her boyfriend Jack Antonoff and gal pals, actress Zoe Kazan and writer Alice Gregory

"I [heart] my friends. I [heart] their pets," she captioned a shot of the two ladies on Monday.

Academy Award nominee Emma Stone was a part of Taylor's 2014 crew with her then-boyfriend Andrew Garfield, but this year she was nowhere to be found in the sea of adorable candid photos.

Alternatively, she watched a special screening of Prince's Purple Rain with fellow actress Sugar Lyn Beard in a cemetery hosted by Cinespia.

It seems a lot of members of the 2014 crowd were missing from the 2016 bash. Gossip Girl's Jessica Szohr spent the holiday at a grandiose seaside villa overlooking the water.

Could this getaway get any more picture perfect?

Rather than celebrating the Fourth of July with Taylor as she had done two years ago, songstress Ingrid Michaelson opted for a weekend indoors binge-watching television, according to her Twitter account. "Did you get invited to at least ONE Fourth of July party?" she polled on social media. "(Put me down for "nope.)'"

Ingrid, you're invited to our house anytime.

Just having a moment with St Mark's Barsilica ????

Model Amanda Griffith was also part of the Fourth of July squad in 2014, but jetted off to Venice rather than Rhode Island for an Italian getaway over the holiday weekend.

"Just having a moment with St Mark's [Basilica]" she wrote on Instagram.
