That's what happened last night at the after party for Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates—leis were handed out to guests as they arrived to the bash at Hollywood sports bar 33 Taps.
The colorful accessory was in honor of the raunchy comedy's Hawaiian setting.
The film's stars, including Zac Efron (still very blonde from Baywatch), Adam DeVine, Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza, headed upstairs where they hung out with friends and family. Emma Stone was a surprise guest and huddled at a corner table with the movie's Sugar Lyn Beard.
In the Jake Szymanski-directed movie, Efron and DeVine play two hard partying brothers who go searching for dates for their sister's wedding on Craigslist because their parents think dates will keep them on their best behavior. Things get hysterically out of control and NSFW when the two young sweet women they pick (Kendrick and Plaza) turn out to be out-of-work party girls. (The film is in theaters on July 8.)
The menu at 33 Taps included beef sliders, chick fingers, sweet potato fries, drinks with little umbrellas and bottles of Fiji water.
A huge table was set up at the party with red Solo cups for anyone up for some beer pong.
I didn't see any of the stars take a shot at beer pong before I left at about 11:30 p.m. Maybe they were too busy getting lei'd?
