The country singer was excited, nervous and fine, a little bit ditzy as she prepared for a face-off with Lance Bass on Sunday's show. Kellie wasn't quaking in her boots, per se, but she sure was bouncing like crazy in her hot pink high heels.
Steve playfully encouraged the former American Idol contestant to "pull yourself together" before setting up the challenge question: "We asked 100 women, name something specific that only your man is allowed to do to your behind."
Cue freak-out now...
Kellie was overcome with enthusiasm and urgency as she tried—and failed—to buzz in. When Lance beat her to it, she squealed, trying to explain, "I missed the button! Oh my God...We need a bigger button!"
Steve, unsure how to process Kellie in this moment, stepped away from the podium. Literally speechless, the always chatty host doubled over as he attempted to refocus the now giggling contestants.
"OK, OK, OK," he said, a grin slowly coming across his face. "You scared the s--t out of me! I didn't know what the hell had happened—I thought you was falling!"
Steve moved right on from there, letting Lance offer his answer of "Give it a little pinch" up first. Then, at long last, it was Kellie's turn.
"I don't know if I should say it," she said. Oh, but she did, and Steve had quite a time with this response, too! Watch for yourself in the video below.
