So did the little liars manage to #SaveHanna?

According to the Pretty Little Liars season premiere, the answer is "sorta kinda not really maybe?" It's unclear as to whether or not Hanna is saved, but at least she's alive…for now.

She is, however, wearing only a tank top and her underwear thanks to the fact that apparently a girl can't be tortured while wearing more clothing than that, and she's about to get into a car with Mary Drake, who currently has a large "No??" in the "can we trust her?" column.

Hanna spent the episode in a dark room being attacked with water and other sorts of uncomfortable things while the gang had 24 hours to hand over Charlotte's murderer, or Hanna would die.

Just as the 24 hours were about to be up, the frantic Caleb handed over the only real piece of evidence as to who might have killed Charlotte: the red jacket, found by Emily in a box of Ali's old clothes.

Despite the fact that, to us, it looked nothing like A's infamous red jacket, that evidence, along with a hallucinatory stream of nonsense  from Ali that kind of sounded like a murder confession, convinced everyone that Ali had killed her sister. AD seemed to accept it, and arrived at Hanna's cell to retrieve her.

Hanna, however, had already escaped, and had made her way to the road to hitch a ride. The first car that stopped for her was driven by Mary Drake, and that's where we left Hanna.

As for where we're left with AD/Uber A/A-moji, we're also not sure. It could be the evil Elliott, who promptly went to Ali's psych ward bedside to tell her (in his real accent) that he knew she killed Charlotte, and to inject her with something that probably wasn't good. But if it is Elliott, that seems pretty damn anticlimactic.

All of tonight's episode was dedicated to the search for Hanna, but we still got some bits and pieces of relationship drama.

Aria and Ezra are not entirely sure what they're doing, and Aria needs some time to think about it, but they did seem to be pretty in sync as they snuck around Ali's house in search of clues.

Spencer and her love triangle are currently just very triangular. Caleb was too concerned about Hanna's possible death to pay Spencer any mind, which makes sense, and while Toby and Spencer spent a little time together, he was also pretty concerned about keeping Hanna alive, as was everyone else.

(While we know that not everyone is as fond of this whole Spaleb/Spoby/Haleb situation as we are, we want to see it explored a little more!)

Emily, meanwhile, was distraught. She was concerned about Hanna, but equally concerned about Ali, who's currently constrained in a psych ward and believed to be Charlotte's murderer. Emily didn't want to believe Ali's "confession," but she also didn't want to see Hanna pay the price for anything Ali might have done. Hopefully those flashbacks mean that her relationship with Ali will be a big part of this season, and we can't wait.
