John Legend may have stepped into the "dad" category after Chrissy Teigen gave birth to their daughter Luna in April. However, that doesn't mean the singer is any less focused on his musical endeavors.

In fact, he just dropped what's bound to be a summer banger, pairing up with Tiësto for their new single, "Summer Nights."

The electro pulse and fist-pumping beat finds Legend singing lyrics like, "I see you in my head/ You ain't like the rest/ You ain't bringing me down, baby/ You're right next to me/ wWe're making history/ The sun's about to go down, baby/ I wanna be wherever you are, baby/ Impossible to take it too far," and a chorus that goes, "Summer nights/ getting high like the first time/ You and I, make it last forever."

The DJ took on a bit of a different sound, toning down his normally high-thrill beats and instead opting for slower verses.

He says he wanted the song to be representative of both his and Legend's music. "We wanted to make a record that mixed the energy from my club tracks with [Legend's] amazing soulful take on pop music and I'm really happy with the result," he explained in a statement.

Meanwhile, new daddy Legend is expected to release a full, new album later this year, which Luna is already a big fan of listening to.
