The OGs of Bravo are back for a new season, and you know what that means—new taglines!
The Real Housewives of Orange County return for a landmark season 11 on Monday, June 20, but before they do, Bravo is whetting our appetite with a peek at the season's new opening sequence. While none of the taglines come close to the sheer wackiness of Shannon Beador's "When life gives you lemons, put nine in a bowl," there are a few gems to be found—and a clunker or two, as well.
Returning for season 11 alongside Shannon are Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, and Meghan King Edmond. They're joined by newcomer Kelly Dodd. Without further ado, here are the new taglines, ranked from worst to best.
6. Kelly Dodd: "I don't throw parties. I am the party!"
We don't know much about the newbie yet, but this bold proclamation doesn't hit us with enough of the winking wit we've come to expect from our Housewives. Better luck next time, Kelly!
5. Meghan King Edmond: "In the game of life, I choose my team wisely."
Hey, did you know Meghan's husband is famous baseball player Jim Edmonds? Because she's going to remind you with her second sports-themed tagline in as many seasons.
4. Vicki Gunvalson: "Before you judge me, you better be perfect."
Doesn't even remotely hold a candle to last season's pitch-perfect "I'm the OG of the O.C. ... everyone else is just a copy."
3. Heather Dubrow: "If at first you don't succeed, try it my way."
While Heather could've stood to listen to her own advice here, this isn't the worst one in the bunch. It's fine.
2. Tamra Judge: "My faith is strong...and my ass isn't bad either."
Now, this is how to do a Housewives tagline right. It references her recent baptism and her foray into fitness. It makes use of some grade-A narcissism. It's gold.
1. Shannon Beador: "Karma's a bitch, so I don't have to be one."
How this hasn't been someone's tagline in any of the cities in this franchise yet is beyond us. While we still miss Shannon's lemons, we're hardly settling here. This is great.
