Ramona Singer wants to make it clear that she has her co-star's back.

Earlier today, fans of the Real Housewives of New York City were shocked to learn that Jules Wainstein's marriage had come to an end after eight years.

As it turns out, even some of her cast members were caught off guard by the announcement.

"I'm very saddened for Jules. I know her heart's broken. It's never easy when there are problems in a marriage, especially when you realize you need to divorce and I'm there for her," she told E! News exclusively while making a personal appearance at Harmon Face Values. "She's doing as well as she can in the situation and her priority—because she is such a great mother—are her two children."

Ramona continued, "I think Jules was totally shocked by what happened and was very disappointed and it's sad. It's just very sad."

The newest member of the Real Housewives of New York City and her family have been featured throughout season eight of the Bravo reality show. A source told E! News that it was Jules' husband Michael who stepped out on the marriage and that "the visibility of the show highlighted the dysfunction in the marriage."

While the series has featured plenty of feuds and arguments between cast members, Ramona assures fans that girl code will remain a top priority for her.

"I believe in girls' code. Girls help other girls and I know I'm going to be there so much for her," she told E! News while wearing her Lux Beauty Club hair extensions. "I've already spoken a number of times with her and I plan to meet with her and just be there to support her in any way I can."

And though Jules may be new to having her personal business in the public eye, Ramona has faith that her friend will get through it with a large support system.

"I think anyone has the strength to get through anything if they have good friends and I think through the show, we may beat each other up sometimes verbally, but I know we're all there for her," she shared. "We're going to support her 100 percent plus."

Meanwhile, Sonja Morgan weighed in on the sad news in the following statement to E! News:

"Having gone through a high profile divorce myself I hope people will respect the Wainstein's privacy during this difficult time. There are small children involved and both are loving parents who want the best for their children as does the entire family. They are a close knit bunch and my heart goes out to them."

Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. only on Bravo.
