Liam Hemsworth has openly discussed his rekindled romance with Miley Cyrus as of late, but the hunky actor has always been fairly willing to comment on their relationship, even after their 2013 split.

Liam never had a bad thing to say about Miley despite their breakup, continuously supporting her endeavors and promising that there was absolutely "no bad blood" between the two. In fact, before they officially got back together, he trusted the 23-year-old enough to help him adopt a new dog—with whom Cyrus is a big fan of posting Instagram photos (she just shared a topless photo in bed with the hound Tuesday morning).

From celebrating her music success to discussing their ever-lasting love, here's everything Liam has said about Miley from their 2013 breakup until now:

2016 in GQ Magazine: Covering the June/July issue of GQ magazine, Liam openly chatted about their split and subsequent rekindled romance. "Of course it was hard, man. But at the time we were going in different directions and it's just what needed to happen," he explained. "We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time—we both needed that."

2016 in American Way Magazine: Opening up to the American Airlines publication, he admitted he never reads anything about himself or Miley. "Look, my private life is my private life, and you know, it's important to me to keep it private," he explained. "Everything that is written is made up. They don't know. They don't know what's going on. Story after story gets made up and that's all they can write, but they don't know."

2015 in Men's Fitness: Liam was never too proud to admit that he and Miley shared something special. Chatting with Men's Fitness in October 2015, he said, "You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage," the Australian actor says, laughing. "I mean, look—we were together five years, so I don't think those feelings will ever change. And that's good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn't just a fling."

2014 in Cosmopolitan Magazine: The Hunger Games actor revealed how Jennifer Lawrence helped him overcome his breakup. "Being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now," he explained. "I'm much happier…I'm more comfortable in my own skin than I've ever been."

2014 in NYLON Guys: Even when he had the opportunity to do so, Liam never spoke poorly of Miley. "There's not much to say; there's no bad blood there," he told NYLON Guys November 2014.

However, he admitted to being annoyed by the amount of paparazzi attention he received after they broke up, saying, "You never get used to it because you get followed and you get chased and it's never a fun experience. I think when people see photos of you out and about in your personal life, they assume that you've asked for it or that you want that attention, but I don't think anyone in their right mind asks for that kind of thing."

2013 in PEOPLE magazine: Following their split, Liam admitted that he had to re-find himself amid the craziness. "These days I feel like I'm more centered and grounded than I've ever been," he told PEOPLE mag. "I've learned so much. The first few years in L.A. were really tough and scary, but I had to figure things out for myself."
