Dax Shepard revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday that he had a vasectomy after wife Kristen Bell's thought she was pregnant. The couple have to children together, Lincoln Shepard, 3, and Delta Shepard, 17 months, and won't have any more. Although it turned out to be just a scare, Shepard made sure there wouldn't be any more possibilities of pregnancy.

"I had a vasectomy and Kristen was not thrilled that I did it so quickly," he told the late-night host. "But I'm a man of action, so I was in and out. I was back in Atlanta two days after that shooting a Samsung commercial."

The news of his rash decision spread quickly, and the ladies of The View discussed the topic Friday morning. Upon hearing the news, Joy Behar said she thought he and Bell should have had a sit-down discussion about the decision. "Shouldn't he have had a little more of a conversation with the woman?" Behar posed.

Raven-Symoné said she thought he made it clear that they had discussed it in the past, but he didn't seem to tell her he was going to the appointment when he did. In that respect, Raven understood, but guest cohost Jedediah Bila posed a hypothetical question that caused the discussion table to get heated: Is there a "double standard" by society about how we treat people's bodies? Bila explained that women say they want to have total control over their bodies in terms of abortion and getting tubes tied, but "then we tell a man you gotta check with us."

Cohost Sunny Hostin said if she could she would have a "gaggle" of kids, but had a discussion with her husband who didn't want more than two. Her point was that there should always be a discussion between two married people, but Behar didn't agree. "In terms of an abortion it certainly is a woman's decision to make," Behar stated. "It's my body I do what I want."

As for Shepard's decision and his body, she still felt he should have talked to his wife about it.
