Teresa Giudice celebrated her birthday with her family this week, marking her first at home since her federal prison sentence last year, but the occasion was bittersweet.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star's husband Joe Giudice began his own jail sentence in March after being indicted with her on charges of fraud. Teresa spent a shortened sentence of 11 months behind bars and was released in December.

On Wednesday, Teresa turned 44. She spent part of the day working and also had a small birthday celebration at home with her and Joe's four daughters, Gia GiudiceGabriella Giudice, Milania Giudice and Audriana Giudice, as well as her mother Antonia Gorga, brother Joe Gorga, his wife and her co-star Melissa Gorga and their kids.

"It was a small, loving family affair," a source told E! News.

Teresa, her husband and their kids had celebrated Christmas with her brother and his family days after her prison release.

Teresa posted several photos of her and her family at her birthday party, where she received a white frosted birthday cake decorated with pink flowers.
