What cause do they hope to bring awareness? Ben & Jerry's website says it was created to promote voters rights, saying "We believe Democracy only works when it works for Everyone.
But lately, it seems the challenges facing our democracy have gotten out of hand: Low-income and minority voters are having their voting rights infringed upon, and money from wealthy donors is corrupting the system." Preach.
The flavor is available to purchase in stores or in a pint. The website allows you to join the movement, where you can do everything from register to vote, support the "Freedom to Vote for All," and more. All in all, it's a pretty sweet move on their part. Pun totally intended.
