There is something about the bond between sisters that cannot be ignored.
For many years, Jenna Bush Hager has maintained a close relationship with her sibling Barbara Pierce Bush. And now, the Today show correspondent is witnessing the closeness between her own two daughters.
"The kids are great. One is three and the other one is nine months and they're really sweet together," Jenna shared with E! News when supporting her new book Our Great Big Backyard with mom and former First Lady Laura Bush. "They have the cutest bond as sisters."
She added, "I was telling my mom I think there's something in people's DNA to love their siblings."
That love could also result in some light-hearted, innocent jokes. During a recent interview with Prince Harry at the Invictus Games, Jenna suggested to the royal family member that he could meet her sister.
Before rumors of a new couple start, Jenna admitted to E! News that it was all in good fun.
"That was sort of a joke. Obviously, my sister was humiliated that I would ever bring it up," she explained to E! News. "That was really a joke. He's an awesome guy."
Laura also praised Prince William's brother for his devotion to military veterans and bringing awareness to the "invisible wounds of war."
As the mother-daughter duo continues to support their new picture book to help commemorate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, Jenna can count on the former First Lady to spoil her two grandchildren in more ways than one.
And if they find themselves on shopping trips, you never know what they are going to find.
"Of course, that's my duty," Laura joked to E! News. "Mila and I went shopping and bought a dog balloon for everyone."
