The Bentonville Film Festival is a six-day event held in in Bentonville, Ark., and was co-founded by Davis. It focuses on empowering women and diverse voices in media.

"This event was so popular last year that we decided to do it again," Davis stated on the festival's website prior to the event. "And I'm so thrilled to have six of my Rockford Peaches cast mates attending the game this year."

Davis recently sat down with Vulture and further expressed her fight for the female voice.

"Identifying with a character is one of the best parts of seeing a movie, but as women, we've had to train ourselves to experience the male journey," she said. "I made a conscious choice to think about the women in the audience. 'What will they think?' And it's not to say we aren't girlfriends, wives, or partners—of course we are. But that's not all we are, and that's the problem."
