The ongoing civil wrongful death lawsuit against Nick Gordon has added a new plaintiff—Bobby Brown.

E! News has confirmed through court documents that Bobbi Kristina Brown's father has joined the $10 million legal battle that alleges "Ms. Brown died due to a violent altercation with Defendant (Gordon) after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture."

In August 2015, Bobbi Kristina's estate administrator, Bedelia Hargrove—who was appointed a conservator while Bobbi Kristina was still alive—filed an amended complaint against Gordon, alleging wrongful death along with the previous accusations that he had physically abused his girlfriend and stole nearly $11,000 from her bank accounts during her hospitalization.

Gordon's attorney filed a response shortly after denying the most serious allegations put forth in the civil complaint. Gordon denied that he "perpetrated the fraud that he had married Bobbi Kristina" and used that "to control" her and "benefit from her wealth."

The response noted: "Defendant admits he had several types of relationships with Ms. Brown and that Ms. Brown considered themselves married and held themselves out as such although they did not legally get married before her passing."

Brown's addition to the lawsuit, which documents state occurred on May 4, comes on the heels of Hargrove filing a renewed motion for monetary sanctions and other relief against Gordon on grounds of his complete disregard of the court and lack of response.

It also comes shortly after Gordon's candid interview on Dr. Phil, where he opened up about his former girlfriend's death. "It was literally a nightmare all over again," Gordon said, referencing how he discovered her unconscious in a bathtub, similar to how her mother Whitney Houston had died three years prior.
