Now that Kerry Washington's got a second bundle of joy on the way, the question stands: How will her pregnancy affect production on season six of Scandal?

ABC, of course, has several options available to them. They could write her pregnancy into the show, dramatically altering Olivia Pope's world yet again, and carry on as planned until it's time for their star to give birth. They could follow the path they opted for during the actress' first pregnancy during season three, when the season's episode order was trimmed from 22 to 18 and an increasingly hysterical number of props and chunky coats were used to hide her baby bump. And then there's the third option, according to TVLine, which may not please Gladiators at all: They could just decide to hold the show until midseason.

ABC is not commenting, but with the network set to unveil its fall lineup in just a few short weeks during its upfront presentation to advertisers on May 17, we'll certainly all know their plan soon.

As sources exclusively confirmed to E! News, Washington and husband Nnamdi Asomugha are expecting their second child. Her baby bump was on display as the actress walked the red carpet at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in Washington, D.C. over the weekend. The incredibly private pair welcomed daughter Isabella in April of 2014.
