Who better to take to the most glamorous, star-studded night of fashion than your equally-as-stylish BFF?
Selena Gomez recently revealed on Access Hollywood that she will be accompanying bestie Taylor Swift to the 2016 Met Gala Monday.
"We are going together!" Gomez said. "It's so fun. It's going to be the best. It like, kind of Prom for fashion."
Swift is co-chairing the annual Costume Institute exhibition, which takes place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and typically brings out the world's biggest stars, who showcase gorgeous, eclectic gowns and other outfits. The other co-chairs are actor Idris Elba, Apple's Chief Design Officer Jonathan Ive and Vogue magazine Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour.
The theme of this year's Met Gala is "Manux X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology," which will highlight the contrast between handmade haute couture and machine-made fashion.
"I love going because everybody just shows up and feels great and has fun," Gomez told Access Hollywood.
Gomez is a member of Swift's "squad" of celebrity BFFs. The two have been friends for more than eight years and have often attended celebrity events together.
