Ariel Winter, The Ellen DeGeneres Show

And just like that, Ariel Winter is preparing for college.

It feels like yesterday that Modern Family fans were watching the young star grow up right in front of our eyes, and now we're here, preparing to send our little girl off to a university all on her own. OK, maybe that's a little dramatic, but it's still pretty surreal to know that the 18-year-old is about to prepare for a huge new chapter in her life.

And today, Winter revealed to fans which university she decided to attend, and it looks like she'll be rocking that blue and gold.

"It's an AMAZING DAY! I'm going to UCLA," she wrote on Instagram with a photo of her online admissions page from the school's website. "Thank you to everyone who has been there for me on this journey! #bruinsbaby"

Winter has certainly blossomed before America's eyes since she first graced our television screens as genius Alex Dunphy on the popular Fox comedy six years ago when she was just 11 years old, and she continues to grow and become a voice for young women everywhere.

In addition to her on-screen roles, she's assumed an official role behind the scenes as a champion for body positivity, most recently slamming Instagram shamers who said she was "asking for it" in a photo she posted of herself in a bikini alongside her nieces.

"Who knew that an innocent photo with my nieces would turn into this? The height of a girl's skirt or whatever she is wearing for that matter, does not imply what she is asking for," she wrote. "You are not asking for anything because of what you are wearing- you are expressing yourself and don't you ever think you deserve the negativity as the consequence to what you are wearing- YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. Celebrate you and don't let anyone's comments allow you to think less of yourself. Us girls have to stick together!!!!!!"

Congratulations, Ariel!
