Laurel's Death Sends Diggle Over the Edge in This New Arrow Clip

Exclusive: Watch Diggle deal with his guilt in the worst way possible

We knew Laurel's death would have its effects on Team Arrow, but we didn't expect Diggle to go quite this off the rails.

In the exclusive clip above, Diggle (David Ramsey) has clearly not forgiven himself for his part in the events that led to Laurel's (Katie Cassidy) untimely demise, and he's taking his anger out on the mayor herself.

Sure, Ruve (Janet Kidder) may be the wife of a supervillain and isn't the nicest lady in the world, but that doesn't mean she deserves to get shot in the face, does it?

The Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) certainly doesn't think so, because he quickly shows up to stop Diggle from making a big mistake.

It sounds like the rest of the season is going to be quite a rollercoaster for Diggle in particular as he deals with the fact that he refused to believe his brother could be working for the other side, which allowed Andy to help Damien overtake the prison and gave him the chance to stab Laurel.

"Secrets, guilt, death—that's our secret formula," executive producer Marc Guggenheim told reporters after a screening of the episode. "[Diggle will] never forgive himself. The biggest consequences emotionally are felt by Thea and by Diggle. I mean Diggle, you can draw a straight-ish line from his decisions in this episode to Laurel's death. That's a fact that's not lost on him."

Something tells us that this episode is going to be hard on all of us.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
