Late Wednesday night E! News learned that World Wrestling Entertainment legend Chyna, born Joanie Laurer, had passed away at age 45.

An official statement was released on her Twitter account that read: "It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. Joanie Laurer, AKA Chyna, the 9th Wonder of the World has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her."

The cause of her death is still unclear, but looking back on Chyna's final days, things appeared to be a little rocky for the WWE legend.

On Sunday, just a few days before she was found dead, Chyna shared a strange and slightly ominous video. Though she continues to express how "lucky" she feels, we can't help but sense a bit of sadness in her tone and facial expressions. She slurs her words as she makes a smoothie, stringing together little tangents throughout the 13-minute video.

A few days before that, she concerned fans when she joked that she was going to reenact the famous shower scene from Psycho, during which the woman is stabbed to death.

While she promised to be in a "good place," Chyna spent the following day sharing a collection of old photos, reminiscing on memories with her different pals from WWE and saying how much she misses everyone.

She also shared two photos of herself with a black eye, which also caused fans to become concerned over her well-being.

Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross took to Twitter shortly after hearing the news of her death, revealing he had discussed having Chyna on his show, The Ross Report, sometime in the near future:

He followed up on his tweet the morning after, revealing that her death was just as "sudden" to him as everyone else and noting that she had been a "troubled soul."

Chyna was also scheduled to appear on season 3 of E!'s Botched.  She met with doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif to seek help to repair a failed breast augmentation surgery performed in Thailand.  However, no decision has been made as to whether she will still appear the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, E! News confirmed police in Redondo Beach, Calif., were called to Chyna's apartment Wednesday afternoon after a friend discovered she was not breathing; the WWE superstar was pronounced dead on the scene.

Chyna's manager told E! News late Wednesday that "she was found peacefully" but could not offer further details. As of now, her cause of death is unknown. However, police said there are no indications or signs that her death was the result of foul play.
