ABCNo, you didn't imagine that cry of "Noooo!" this morning. It really did happen. Why? Because Michael Strahan is leaving LIVE! With Kelly and Michael.
ABC announced on Tuesday that after serving four years as Kelly Ripa's LIVE! co-host, Strahan is set to leave the morning talk show to join Good Morning America full-time. While we have until September to accept this move, we're still in the first stage: denial. And so our our moms.
After the official announcement, E! News decided to check in with our loyal LIVE!-watching mothers to see how they were coping with the former NFL star's shocking exit. Here are their unedited reactions:
Mom No. 1: "Of course I love Michael, but he wouldn't want us to be sad. I do have to say I just love when Mark Consuelos cohosts with his wife. Kelly is just so cute and she deserves whoever she wants."
Mom No. 2: "Y? Wow whose gonna replace him ? Wow. He probably can't take Kelly ?"
Mom No. 3: "Too bad. He's good on it. I don't watch GMA."
Mom No. 4: "Who is Michael Strahan?"
Mom No. 5: "I don't have any feelings. I'm numb."

Mom No. 7: "Oh. No. Must be $$$$. As if he wasn't making enough now!!!

Mom No. 8: "I think he's personable – easy to watch and handsome. I don't know how smart he is?"
Mom No. 9: "I'm shocked. He's got a lot on his plate with GMA and football too. I wasn't sure how I felt about him when he first started and he grew on me and I feel like he got more comfortable and better and seemed more comfortable and better at it. So...they def can get someone better, like Dana Carvey, Martin Short, Anderson Cooper but surprised!"
