InstagramBindi Irwin boyfriend gave his Australian girlfriend the real prom experience!
The Dancing With the Stars champion shared a never-before-seen photo of her and Chandler Powell going to prom last year, and it is absolutely perfect. Not only did he take her to the (debatably) most important event of high school, he gave her the full-blown experience.
Pre-prom? Check. Awkward pre-prom pictures? Check. Boutonnieres and corsages? You bet.
"1 year ago. We don't really have Prom in Australia but this wonderful human being is American and when his Prom came around he invited me to Florida to go with him," she explained in her caption. "I can't believe this really happened, I felt like I was living in a movie and was a real life Disney princess. Gosh I'm blessed. Thank you @chandlerpowell it meant the world to me."
So cute! All we need to know now is whether they were crowned prom king and queen (if his school participates in that). But let's take a closer look at Bindi's prom experience.
The 17 year old looked gorgeous in navy blue dress that hit just above the knee. It features lacy long sleeves and a high-rise neck, giving her a sophisticated look for the evening. Adorably enough Chandler matched his girlfriend's look by wearing a light blue tie with his dark blue suit. He even went the extra mile by getting her a blue corsage. This guy knows what he's doing!
Steve Irwin's daughter and Chandler took awkward family photos, where Chandler's little brother tried to be the star of the show. The only thing missing from the pics is the traditional prom pose AKA Chandler standing behind Bindi with his hands on her hips...but we'll take what we can get.
Even though they went to prom a year ago, it's wonderful to see how happy these two still are!
