Jennifer Aniston's wedding and following honeymoon with hubby Justin Theroux were definitely some of the happiest of days in the actress' life. However, she experienced a bit of a "breakdown" shortly thereafter.

Upon returning from her honeymoon, the beauty had to immediately start working on Mother's Day in which she plays a divorcée whose ex-husband remarried a much younger woman.

Catching up with E! News' Jason Kennedy at the premiere of the film, she opened up about the roller coaster she went through during that period of time.

When Jason asked how Aniston went from post-wedding bliss into portraying a heartbroken character, she explained, "Well, hence the breakdown. That's how I felt. That was sort of what was going on internally."

She laughed before adding, "Anything for [director] Gary Marshall."

Marshall has directed several star-studded films in the past—including Valentine's Day, New Year's Eve and Pretty Woman—and Mother's Day follows along that same path, featuring not only Aniston, but also Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson, Jason Sudeikis and more!

Much like his prior films, Mother's Day weaves together several different characters' stories and how the holiday affects them in different ways.

Roberts will play Miranda, a television host who has no children of her own (or so we think), while Aniston will portray Sandy, a divorced mom with two sons who is looking for love.  Hudson stars as Jesse, a mom who seeks to strengthen her relationship with her own mother. Sudeikis plays the "Mr. Mom" type who ends up connecting with Sandy.

Other big names in the film include: Timothy Olyphant, Sarah Chalke, Jon Lovitz and Britt Robertson, to name a few.
