Add another upcoming live-action film to the list!

It turns out Disney is currently developing a live-action movie based on the classic tale Peter Pan. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it will be getting the feature treatment from director David Lowery, who just tackled Pete's Dragon for the studio.

Lowery, who is best known for edgy drama Ain't Them Bodies Saints, will reunite with his Pete's Dragon co-writer Toby Halbrooks for this project. No other details about the film have been revealed.

Peter Pan has gotten a couple of treatments over the years. The popular childhood fairy tale got some live-action love late last year with Pan.

In the Warner Bros. Pictures movie, director Joe Wright introduces audiences to 12-year-old orphan Peter (Levi Miller), who is determined to find his mother Mary (Amanda Seyfried) in the mysterious land. He befriends James Hook (Garrett Hedlund) and Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara), and together, they must save Neverland from the ruthless pirate Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman). Along the way, Peter must fulfill his destiny to become the hero forever known as Peter Pan.

Also, how can we forget NBC's live musical production?! In late 2014, 9.1 million viewers tuned in to see Allison Williams do battle with Christopher Walken's Captain Hook.

Disney has multiple live-action properties in the works, including Beauty and the Beast, which is set for a 2017 release, and will be starring Emma Watson as Belle. Emma Stone is set to play the 101 Dalmatians villain in Cruella De Ville, and it was recently revealed that Snow White's sister will be getting her own spotlight treatment in Red Rose.
