UPDATE: Debby Ryan has plead no contest to reckless driving, TMZ reports, and will be on probation for three years.

The 23-year-old will also need to complete three months in a DUI program and community service.

The former child star was arrested for drunk driving, E! News has confirmed.

The Disney darling was driving around Los Angeles on April 5, 2016 when she made a left turn in her Audi and crashed into a Mercedes Benz. LAPD confirms to us that the 22-year-old Jessie star was arrested on a felony DUI; however, local authorities ultimately reduced her offense to a misdemeanor.

Ryan was released on $100,000 bail, but the Los Angeles City Attorney tells E! News that she was charged with two misdemeanor counts: driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or above. She addressed the incident on Twitter Wednesday, where she apologized to her fans for what happened.

"Over the last few days I have had the chance to think about my actions, and I wish I had used better judgement," she wrote. "I recognize that I am a role model and have always worked hard to set a good example for my millions of fans. I am so sorry to disappoint everyone."

Ryan has overcome a couple of ups and downs in her life, including surviving an abusive relationship. Last year the Disney star opened up to Teen Vogue about a friendship that turned out to be incredibly unhealthy. "I wasn't dating this person. This person considered themselves my best friend," she told the publication. "We also had a professional relationship and it was such emotional manipulation to the point where it became physical, and it stopped before it got too far."

She added, "The second someone puts their hand on you, a boundary has been crossed. If anyone is feeling manipulated or abused, that's the best it's going to get and you have to fight for yourself now."
