Where would we be without Laguna Beach and The Hills?
Would we know that Lauren Conrad is the end-all, be-all person to follow on Pinterest? Would Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have never entered our consciousness? We'll never know. Whitney Port knows, however, that she likely would not have crossed paths with her now hubby Tim Rosenman if it weren't for the Hills' spinoff, The City.
At Marie Claire's "Fresh Faces" party, celebrating the mag's May issue cover stars, E! News' Will Marfuggi asked Whitney what her most memorable moment was as an MTV reality star. "I met my husband on the show," she said with a giggle. "My husband was a producer on the show, so that's probably my most memorable thing that happened to me."
Even though Whitney and Tim met while filming The Hills, they didn't actually start dating until after filming wrapped in 2010. "I definitely made the first move," Whitney later recalled in an interview with the Daily Mail. "I got his phone number and made up some excuse why I needed to reach him for something...I kind of felt he was never gonna try it with me. He's not shy, but I know in his past with girls he had difficult making the first move."
"And I know, because of our jobs—because I was the talent and he was the producer—he wasn't going to cross that line," she explained. "It had to be me, you know."
Yep, and it looks like making that move worked out well for Whit! The QVC designer and Tim said "I do" last November, and as you can see in the video above, Whitney's still pretty giddy about it!
