Princess Charlotte may not even be 1 years old yet, but that won't stop her from being an impressive athlete in the making.

A month shy of her first birthday, the little lady is already showing some serious potential out on the soccer field.

Charlotte is "a very good footballer," her father Prince William told the crowd at a luncheon held in his honor as president of the British Football Association. "You hold her hand and she kicks it. Very sweet."

Her natural finesse for the sport must be genetic as her royal dad has been the president of the FA for a full decade.

"I feel hugely privileged to have been President of the FA for the last 10 years," he said in remarks at the event. "Football is our national game. It is an incredibly powerful force for bringing people together, uniting people of all walks of life."

However, he was also adamant about protecting the longstanding international tradition.

"There have been significant achievements for the future of our national game. But we must not take any of it for granted," he continued. "We owe it to the history of the game to maintain the FA's global standing & seek to set a world standard for how we conduct our business...There is a wind of change blowing through global sporting governance and we must ensure we do not get left behind."

Just think—in two more decades, little Charlotte may be a player out on the field, just like her famous dad and uncle Prince Harry
