Rest easy, Benedict Cumberbatch is finally stepping into Sherlock Holmes' shoes (but probably not that deerstalker cap) again as Sherlock gets back into production.

Masterpiece and PBS officially announced everybody is back at work on the international hit drama for a new batch of three episodes for season four.

"Sherlock series four—here we go again! Whatever else we do, wherever we all go, all roads lead back to Baker Street, and it always feels like coming home," Steven Moffat, co-creator, writer and executive producer on Sherlock, said in a statement. "Ghosts of the past are rising in the lives of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson and terror and tragedy are looming. This is the story we've been telling from the beginning and it's about to reach its climax."

In a release, Masterpeice promised three new episodes filled with "laughter, tears, shocks, surprises and extraordinary adventures."

Season four kicks off with Sherlock back on British soil as Watson (Martin Freeman) and his wife Mary (Amanda Abbington) preparing for…parenthood.

"This is the kind of news that has our audience cheering," Rebecca Eaton, Masterpiece executive producer, said in a statement. "Along with our millions of fans, I can't wait to see what the boys will do next."

No premiere date for the new season was given. Mark Gatiss is also back as writer and co-creator.
