This will mark the Olympian and reality star's first scripted acting role in two years. In the '80s, she appeared on episodes of shows such as The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote and The Fall Guy and played Officer Steve McLeish on CHiPs.
There has been some Transparent-I Am Cait crossover: Transparent star and co-producer Zackary Drucker appears on Jenner's series.
Transparent streams on Amazon Video and focuses on a transgender woman, played by Jeffrey Tambor, 71, and her relationships with her family and friends, including new ones she has made from the LGBT community. The dramedy has won five Emmys, including an individual one for the actor. On Saturday, it received a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
At the ceremony, which airs on Logo TV Monday at 10/9c, Caitlyn posted on her Instagram page a photo showing her hugging Transparent actress Judith Light, 67, who plays Tambor's ex.
Jenner also snapped photos with fans. During the show, she sat with friend and I Am Cait co-star Candis Cayne, 44.
I Am Cait received a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Reality Show. It tied with TLC's I Am Jazz.
In her acceptance speech, Jenner praised her co-stars and friends, saying, "You girls have been the backbone, you've taught me so much. I've learned so much from you over this last year. You're my absolute best friends and I know you always have my back and it's been so wonderful to work with you. And I know when we finished season two, I mean, I was literally crying because I couldn't stand just going through life without you girls around."
