Instagram Nothing makes Lea Michele happier than some quality time with her BFF!
The Scream Queens star took to Instagram over Easter weekend to share how she was enjoying New York City in the middle of spring. Along the way, she couldn't help but reunite with her talented friend and co-star Jonathan Groff.
"Just the happiest girl in the world," Lea wrote on social media as her Broadway bud picked her up for a hug in the air. "And suddenly all is right.."
Although Jonathan is hard at work starring in Hamilton, the performer was able to celebrate his 31st birthday for much of the weekend including Saturday where brunch was absolutely on the agenda.
"Birthday brunch with @cynthiaerivo & @oaksmash for our birthday boy Jonathan!" Lea later shared on Instagram. "I love you the most JG."
The pair's friendship goes back several years to at least 2005 when they starred together in Broadway's Spring Awakening. They would also come together in Ryan Murphy's unforgettable series Glee. Ever since, the pair has spent holidays together, traveled to far away destinations and even healed after some unexpected heartbreak.
"In this lifetime, if there is anything you need, it's a best friend," Lea once told Teen Vogue after participating in a photo shoot with Jonathan.
The actor added, "Since Glee, she has inspired people across the world with her unapologetic ambition, insane talent, and astonishing grace. Me, especially."
In between hanging out with friends, Lea was also able to enjoy a showing of The Color Purple where she left the theater with "no words" to describe how good the production was.
She was later spotted out on the streets as a "total tourist." Looking good, Lea!
