Today, Nicky Jam woke up to the news that he was dead, although he is very much alive.
And just like that...the Internet strikes, again!
The "El Perdón" star is the latest celebrity to fall victim to the Internet's infamous death hoaxes. The singer posted about the incident on his Instagram account.
"They killed me, my God, how horrible. People have nothing better to do," the Boston-born artist captioned the fake death post.
Seriously, how eerie must it be to see a photo of what is supposed to be your dead body with "R.I.P." next to it? Ugh!
To further prove that he was still alive, the singer posted a video of himself talking about the distasteful joke.
"They already killed me, my God, these are sensationalists on the Internet. The same thing that helps us is the same thing that sinks us. That's how life is. I'll leave when God wants me to," Nicky said to his fans.
The source of the story goes back to a fake Facebook account that uses the name of CNN and even includes another hoax, which also killed off Ryan Reynolds.
So not cool, people!
