Is Barry pulling a Walter White on The Flash?

Iris' (Candice Patton) boss at the newspaper, Scott Evans (Tone Bell), seems to think so in E! News' exclusive sneak peek at the show's return from hiatus, "Trajectory."

In the clip from tonight's episode, Iris' editor thinks he has evidence that the Flash isn't quite the good guy that everyone presumes he is. Yes, he thinks the Flash is breaking bad.

"The photo speaks for itself—no helmet glare—confirming that this is the Scarlet Speedster," he tells his team in a meeting. "We're going to expose him as a fraud."

When he assigns Iris to write the story in her first-person perspective (she's seen the Flash in action, after all), she pushes back. "Why would the Flash need to make off with a couple of hundred bucks when he's saved so many lives? I mean, he's actually a hero," she rightfully points out.

But Evans is tired of the Metahumans running the show in Central City, and won't back off. "Write it up. His journey from street to freak. Due on my desk tomorrow," he tells Iris. Press play on the clip above to watch the awkward newsroom interaction.

Of course, we know that it isn't Barry in the photo, and we'll meet the newest speedster in town (who's up to no good) in tonight's episode. Also look for some sparks to fly between Iris and said new boss, despite their conflicting views on the Flash's motives.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
