Welcome to the ballroom, Mischa!
Dancing With the Stars kicks off its 22nd season tonight on ABC, and one of the celebs viewers are most excited to see make their debut is Mischa Barton, the former star of The O.C., who is paired with Artem Chigvintsev.
E! News was lucky enough to spend a day inside the pair's rehearsal for their first dance (the tango!), where Mischa dished on whether or not she'll be paying homage to the iconic Fox series by performing to Phantom Planet's "California" aka the infamous theme song.
"Maybe, we'll see," Mischa told E! News' Will Marfuggi, before adding that she's "really into the music selection, I've been really hands on with that."
And Mischa has been equally as hands on about her costume for the premiere, revealing she "designed" it along with DWTS' costume designer. "It's really beautiful," she teased. "I based it on some real pretty dresses."
While fans can expect to see a pretty dress, don't expect to see any of Mischa's former co-stars from The O.C. in the ballroom tonight, as it doesn't sound like the 30-year-old actress has kept in touch with Ben McKenzie, Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson since leaving the show in 2006: "It's 10 years later, so no!" Mischa explained.
