Superheroes are great, but can they compete against the supermoms?

As anticipation builds for the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ben Affleck and the cast hit the red carpet for the film's New York City premiere.

While there was plenty of talk about the highly-anticipated flick, Ben couldn't help but gush about Jennifer Garner who has a few admirable skills of her own.

"You know, I just marvel at my mother who did a great job of raising my brother and I. Parenting is hard work but it's so rewarding and I certainly do my best," he shared with E! News' Catt Sadler. "Jen is a superhero mom. She is an amazing mother and I'm really lucky to have her as a partner to co-parent these kids with. We try our best, we put them first and that's what we do."

The Hollywood pair has three kids together including Samuel, Violet and Seraphina. When asked if his four-year-old son will see dad as Batman, Ben had his apprehensions.

"Well, he can see some of it.  I don't know… It just depends.  Every kid is different," he explained while wearing a Gucci suit. "Like I don't know if he would be scared seeing me, like if he would think it was really me getting thrown around and crashed and hurt.  I don't know if he could know the difference. So, we'll see. I'll warm him up."

He continued, "In time. When he learns to differentiate between the fact that it's not, that I'm not really getting beat up on camera. It's pretend, you know."

Recently, Ben admitted to E! News' Maria Menounos that his two girls may be more into Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot than his character. Another strike against him is the simple fact that Violet also continues to have a huge love for the beloved wizard Harry Potter.

Ultimately, Ben and the cast believe the film will deliver for fans wanting to see "the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world." Or as Batman said in a previous trailer, it's possibly "the only thing [he does] that matters."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters everywhere on March 25.
