If you've been dying for more information on exactly what the hell happened in Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Nathan's (Martin Henderson) history to cause such bad blood between the hot docs, Grey's Anatomy fans, you're not alone. We're right there with you. And as it turns out, you're also in luck because tonight's the night we begin to get answers.

But if you thought those answers might make things better between the two, well, think again.

Henderson recently revealed to E! News that tonight's episode, the 14th in season 12, is when "it starts to come out." His warning? "It's going to get worse before it gets better. Much worse."

The full backstory, which Henderson believes will leave fans divided, even took the actor by surprise. "I kind of knew that's what it was. Shonda [Rhimes] had pulled me aside earlier," he explained. "But then there's another little twist that I found out that I didn't know. I was shocked...It's going to be a fun journey with the audience."

Henderson admitted that, when he signed on to the show, he wasn't aware of just how polarizing Nathan Riggs would be in the world of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. "Honestly, I didn't know what Shonda's intention was with the character. I don't really think Shonda had an exact idea from what she said and what I've learned from being on the show," he said. "She's very improvisational and I think she likes to throw characters together and try things out and see where the sparks fly…it's very much evolving as it goes along. I don't think she's exactly decided quite where it's going to go, but it's getting pretty juicy."

Could sparks fly for Riggs romantically this season? According to Henderson, the chances of the guy even making a solid friendship are slim. "I think it's going to be quite slow because of the way it's been set up where Owen's poisoned everyone against him, there's a natural reservation," he said. "I think whatever alliances he forms will be hard-won over a longer period of time. I think the work he's going to have to do earn people's trust and to have those kind of relationships is going to take a while."

Luckily, with an early order from ABC for season 13 already secured, we've got nothing but time.
