Ben Affleck might be Batman, but that doesn't make him immune to a fright every now and then.

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star appears on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday and opens up about his split from Jennifer Garner and his upcoming movie. Host Ellen DeGeneres mentions co-star Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman in the film, and asks if she's a love interest for Affleck's character.

Before he can answer, however, a man dressed as Wonder Woman jumps out of a box that is located right next to him. To say Affleck is caught off guard and terrified would be putting it lightly.

"I was genuinely scared by that," he tells the host, who then replays his reaction in slow motion.

Looking back at it, Affleck can't help but hysterically laugh at himself. "That was great," Affleck says, still cackling.

"You'll show that to your son!" Ellen responds.

Affleck's son, 4-year-old Samuel Affleck, adorably believes that his dad is the real Batman, so he should love seeing that his dad still gets scared like he does!

"My son thinks it's cool. My son thinks it's really cool. He came to the set. He was a little bit suspicious, too. He was like, 'Is that the real Superman?' 'Yes, he is. That's more or less about as real as it gets. That's the real Superman.' When I'd leave, he'd be like, 'Dad, are you going to the Batcave?' I can't [let him down]. I'm like, 'Yes, I am.' Eventually he's going to be in therapy, like, 'You lied to me! There's no Batcave! He's doing Ellen,'" he said. "He thinks I'm in the Batcave now."

Hopefully the footage of Ben screaming and jumping out of his chair will soften the blow that there is no Batcave.
