It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a superhero TV show crossover! We've got your first look at the Scarlett Speedster meeting the Maiden of Might—in case you don't speak in comic book nicknames, we're talking The Flash and Supergirl. In the promo above, The Flash (Grant Gustin) speeds to CBS's Supergirl to meet the title character (Melissa Benoist).

The lightning meets the S shield!

Here's what we know about the big crossover: The Flash suddenly appears in Supergirl's universe (yes, they're officially set in different universes) and he helps her battle Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci) and Livewire (Brit Morgan) in exchange for her help in getting him back home to his CW-set universe. New universes are no strange to fans of The CW's Flash, but all of The CW's DC Comics shows all share the same universe with crossovers regularly happening between Flash and Arrow.

To celebrate the two network crossover, CBS made the above image, an homage to a classic Superman comic book cover where he races Flash while other heroes look on.

Greg Berlanti, executive producer on both shows, came up with the story and Andrew Kreisberg and Michael Grassi wrote the teleplay.

The big episode airs Monday, March 28 at 8 p.m. on CBS. Flash airs Tuesdays, 8 p.m. on The CW.
