Well, it was bound its way into the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills timeline sometime. After announcing their split last December and actually filing for divorce in January, the dissolution of Yolanda Foster's marriage to husband David—or the first signs of it, anyway—has popped up on the Bravo reality hit.

In tonight's episode, the privately-struggling couple traveled to New York along with friends Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, and Kathryn Edwards to attend a gala held by the Global Lyme Alliance, where Yo was being honored. In the final moments of the night, after a sweet toast to one another in front of their group of friends, David was caught seemingly unaware that he was either still wearing a mic or near a hot one—and he let the facade fall.

Sitting down on a couch with his friend Tom (not to be confused with Tom Girardi, who couldn't attend with his wife), David admitted that he was feeling better, but that "it's been a stretch."

"I want your life to go back to the way it was when you first got together," his friend told him.

An incredulous David replied, "How's that going to happen?"

"It's gonna happen," Tom assured his doubting friend. David, however, remained unmoved: "I don't know."

It was a sad moment, especially when juxtaposed to his and Yolanda's very public promise to one another just moments before to "make big lemonade" out of lemons. Adding insult to injury? Kyle, Erika and Kathryn all sat down on the very same couch as David as he was speaking with Tom. The odds none of them heard him? Slim. Kathryn did just get that new hearing aid, after all.

Were you surprised by how openly David discussed his problems around the prying ears of Yolanda's friends? Sound off on the comments below!
