Ben Higgins' runner-up JoJo Fletcher was officially named the next Bachelorette on Monday night, following The Bachelor's emotional finale, and it's safe to say the response to the announcement was overwhelmingly positive as the 25-year-old had been a fan favorite all season long. And it looks like season 18 Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis is definitely a fan, even saying he would "sign up" for The Bachelorette again to woo JoJo.
"I have READ so MANY good things about JoJo in the past WEEKS that if she is the NEXT bachelorette, I MIGHT have to sign up AGAIN..." Juan Pablo tweeted before the official announcement on Monday night. "I am #TeamJoJo and I have only SEEN her in like 20 pictures on my TWITTER... #SheCute."
And then Chris Harrison revealed JoJo would in fact be the next Bachelorette during the After the Finale Rose ceremony. "O M G, just SAW it...," Juan Pablo wrote after on Twitter, adding the monkey-covering-his-eyes emoji.
Arguably one of the most polarizing stars from the franchise, Juan Pablo appeared on Desiree Hartsock's season of The Bachelorette, before he was chosen as season 18's leading man. While initially popular, Juan Pablo soon made headlines for saying he was opposed to the idea of an openly gay Bachelor. His demeanor with the women on his season also didn't earn him any points with viewers, While he didn't propose to Nikki Ferrell in the end, the duo dated for almost a year (even appearing on Couples Therapy).
Juan Pablo and Nikki's first official appearance as a couple on the After the Final Rose though will go down as one of the most awkward moments in the franchise's history, with Juan Pablo acting hostile and closed-off toward the show and Harrison, who called it "the oddest exit and finish to a season ever." So yeah, we're not sure if producers would welcome Juan Pablo's return to the franchise, but it doesn't seem likely.
But let's say he did return to compete for JoJo's heart, would Juan Pablo have some competition from another memorable Bachelorette alum? Nick Viall, who was the runner-up during Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe's respective seasons, shot down any rumblings of another surprise return, tweeting, "My search for love continues, but no longer includes group dates. Jojo's 25 new boy friends can rest easy."
But Nick and Juan Pablo weren't the only Bachelor stars tweeting about JoJo, with Chris Soules writing, "Congrats @JoelleFletcher! Looks like you're going to have 25 plus 'edible' men chasing you! You earned it, all my best!"
And the ladies got in on the action, too!
Former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman, who infamously put Juan Pablo in his place when she first appeared on his season, choosing to leave the show after the fantasy suites, tweeted her support for JoJo. "Congrats to the beautiful @JoelleFletcher," she wrote. "There are some lucky men out there we can't wait to see fight for you on TV." And another former Bachelorette was excited to welcome JoJo to the club, too, with Emily Maynard Johnson tweeting that she "can't wait to watch" JoJo in action.
The Bachelorette returns on Monday, May 23 on ABC.
