Lindsay Lohan's love life almost went in a different direction.

The 29-year-old actress stopped by The Sun's offices in London Wednesday, where she spoke for the first time about her boyfriend Egor Tarabasov and also claimed she once turned down One Direction's Harry Styles. Before Tarabasov entered the picture, Lohan said Styles showed up outside her hotel room unannounced. "I didn't know it was him," she said of the 22-year-old musician. "He was in a suit. I said, 'Well, you're very good-looking. Can I help you?' That was it."

Lohan said Styles introduced himself using his first name only and told her that two of their mutual friends had sent him over. "I was in bed. I was like, 'I'm going to bed but it was nice to meet you,'" the actress recalled. "It was 2 a.m. I had just come back from an AA meeting. I looked like s--t, too. I was wearing a big hotel robe; I had a slip under it. It was not a good look."

"It didn't click who he was at the time," she added. "I told my sister the next day and she was like, 'Wait, are you kidding me? Do you understand? Do you have his number? Can I have it?'"

Lohan and Styles will likely head in different directions if they ever see each other again. "I saw him in L.A. recently," she told The Sun. "I think it's probably awkward on both our parts now."

Styles, for his part, has not commented on Lohan's claims.

Meanwhile, the actress had only good things to say about Tarabasov, a 22-year-old Russian business heir. "I haven't known Egor for that long," she told the newspaper. "We've been together for about seven months. He is a great guy. I met him in the summer. I'm really happy."

Just don't credit Tarabasov with taming the Mean Girls actress' once wild ways. "That's the one thing in America they always have done with me. If I have ever been linked to someone, they always say, 'This guy is so good for Lindsay. Look at how he has changed her.' I am just like, 'F--k you,' because I have done this for me. I take care of myself and then they just set it up to fail," Lohan complained. "The smartest thing I have done for myself is making the move to London I came to London by myself. Being here is such a big deal. I didn't have anyone here at first."

Lohan said she has turned her life around since the move. "The people who I used to hang out with are waking up at 5 a.m. Now I wake up at 9 a.m. I have more self-control. I got into meditation. I don't feel the pressure that I used to feel. Ten years of my life was wasted because of me being made an example of," said the actress, who next appears in The Shadow Within. "Once I finished with that my hands were clean and I said, 'Right. I'm going to go and take care of me.'"
