TwitterTom Bergeron announced some sad news Saturday.
He said his mother, Catherine "Kay" Bergeron, has passed away, just four months after the Dancing With the Stars' father Adrian Raymond "Ray" Bergeron died at age 81 after battling cancer.
"Four months apart. Together forever. #RIPMom," Tom, 60, wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him with his parents.
A day earlier, he posted a throwback pic showing him with his mother.
"Four months ago my Mom lost the love of her life. Now we've gathered at her bedside," he wrote. "They never did like being apart."
In addition to Tom, Kay and Ray are survived by daughter Maureen Vallieres, four granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
Last October, just before his dad passed away, Tom missed an episode of Dancing With the Stars to be by his bedside. After Raymond's death, Tom returned to the ballroom and paid tribute to his father.
"My dad loved this show," he. "Never missed an episode, and I'd like to think somewhere that he didn't miss this one."
Dancing With the Stars is set to begin its 22nd season on March 21. While some cast members, such as Jodie Sweetin and Good Morning America weather anchor Ginger Zee, have been confirmed, the full roster will be revealed Tuesday on GMA.
"Thank you so much for your words of support & sympathy. I'll miss @GMA Tues. for my Mom's services, but can't wait to get back to work 3/21," Tom tweeted Sunday.
