UPDATE: Bobby Brown took to Twitter to thank his fans for their concern and to clear up any speculation as to why he canceled his latest concert:

"My Gastroenterologist has made the decision to keep me resting for another week, he wrote. "I recently had surgery and the recovery time has taken longer than expected."

Bobby canceled a show in South Carolina Friday, the day the autopsy report for his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was released on what would have been her 23rd birthday.

His only child with the late Whitney Houston died last July at age 22 after being in a coma for several months. She was found unconscious in a bathtub—the same way her mother was found before she was pronounced dead at age 48 in 2012. The autopsy report showed Bobbi Kristina suffered brain damage and died of pneumonia caused by drug intoxication and water immersion.

Bobby, 47, was supposed to perform at Charleston Jam Fest at the North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center Friday. A rep for the venue told E! News Bobby canceled his appearance.

The event also featured Keith Sweat, Jagged Edge and 112. Bobby is scheduled to perform with the former two and H-Town in Tampa, FL in April.

Bobby had also delayed a tour a month after Bobbi Kristina was hospitalized. He later performed in April in Los Angeles and got emotional onstage. A month after his daughter's death, Bobby performed in L.A. again and thanked the audience members for their prayers. He has since performed sporadically.

After her autopsy report was released, Bobby said in a statement, "First and foremost, 23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born. Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl."

His wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown, who is pregnant with the couple's third baby, posted on her Instagram page a photo tribute to Bobbi Kristina, saying, "#HBD #bobbikristinabrown #flyhighangel #spreadjoy #familylove #peaceandsernity #daddysgirl #missingyoualways."
