Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of Spice Girl turned fashion icon Victoria Beckham and soccer legend David Beckham, may be celebrating his 17th birthday today, but he's had plenty to celebrate for years—even more than his blessed genetics, that is. The dapper teen, whose hobbies also include hanging out with his fabulous family and making the scene at New York Fashion Week, made his modeling debut on the cover of Man About Town magazine at the age of 15 and became Miss Vogue's first-ever cover boy last fall.
Then, having learned more about high fashion than most do in a lifetime (probably without even needing to leave the house in his case), the freckle-faced lad took his discerning eye behind the camera and shot an Instagram campaign for Burberry's Brit Fragrances.
Brooklyn has also acquired a pack of celebrity pals and established quite the Instagram following, with upwards of 6.2 million fans checking in to see his artistic snaps and the occasional shirtless pic.
The multi-hyphenate teen still gives off a boyish charm, though, so it's not as if he's left childhood entirely behind—and his parents have seen to it that he doesn't grow up too fast.
"He does have to show us everything that he posts and he goes over it with us," his father, People's reigning Sexiest Man Alive, told E! News in January at the UNICEF Ball. "Sometimes we say, 'Maybe you shouldn't [post that]' and he does anyway. [But] he's a good boy. He has become very popular."
Bit of an understatement, but no question David Beckham's a doting dad.
And Brooklyn has plenty of time to pick a path—or several—in life, whether it be modeling, photography, fashion design, acting or even playing soccer. Hmm...sounds like someone we know...
As for his birthday plans? No word yet, but we're guessing we'll see any artsy evidence of a celebration, perhaps in avant-garde black and white, on Instagram.
