Dr. OzYolanda Foster has seen some incredibly dark days throughout her battle against Lyme Disease. In fact, there have even been some moments when she no longer wanted to live.
However, she credits her children—Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid and Anwar Hadid—for keeping her alive.
Sitting down for an emotional interview with Dr. Oz on Tuesday, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star opened up about her struggle to continue to fight against the disease and how her kids have really been the most important factor in doing so.
"My children is what kept me alive," she recalled. "I remember just waiting for them to get out of school, you know, just to give them a hug and look at them for for hope. I mean they're the ones that kept me fighting and wanting to live."
She continued, "There were many days that I really didn't want to live anymore. But when you look at your children it's not a choice anymore, right? You have to. You have to get through. You have to keep fighting and searching to get well."
That pressure, however, has definitely forced her children to grow up and mature faster than others their own age.
"It made them grow up all of a sudden, a lot faster," she said. "There were nights where Gigi, at three o'clock in the morning, had to drive me to the emergency room because I had such severe inflammation in my brain that I'd be balling on the floor like, 'Please take me to the hospital!' So you know, and not just Gigi driving, Anwar and Bella in the back of the car and the three of us going to the hospital."
She added, "They learned to take charge and...be my strength."
