After accepting the award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in The Danish Girl at the 2016 Oscars, Alicia Vikander needed to celebrate.

The award-winning actress caught up with E! News' Zuri Hall at the Governor's Ball while she was still in a whirlwind of excitement and said she couldn't wait to get the party really started. "I'm feeling everything at the same time," Vikander said. "It's overwhelming and wonderful and thrilling.

"I'm trying to soak it all in."

Although her night would be spent bouncing from party to party, Vikander said she was looking forward to two activities more than anything: eating and dancing. "I don't think I've had anything since lunch!" she said, adding that she couldn't wait to "just get these shoes off and dance."

The Swedish actress became understandably emotional onstage while accepting her award, but nearly broke down when she called out her co-star, Eddie Redmayne. "Eddie, there you are. Thank you for being the best acting partner. I could have never done it without you," she said, getting choked up. "You raised my game."

Vikander, 27, also thanked her parents during her quick speech, which just about made us cry while watching her. "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my dream team, which is Teresa, Charles, Laura, I want to thank my friends and my mom and dad," she added.

"Thank you for giving me the belief that anything can happen even though I would have never believed this. Thank you."

Prior to the start of the awards show, Vikander told Ryan Seacrest that she was very nervous for what was to come that night. "It feels so surreal," she confessed. "I have butterflies in my tummy."

But it turned out she had nothing to worry about. Congratulations on your big win, and we hope you got the chance to dance!
