Let's get this out of the way first: Lifetime's The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition is going to have just as much screaming and crying as you'd expect from a show featuring reality star mother/daughter pairs attempting to repair their relationships (on camera, of course).

You can see one of the tearful family therapy sessions in E! News' exclusive sneak peek at the premiere episode, in which The Hills star Heidi Montag and her mother, Darlene Egelhoff open up to each other about the biggest rift in their relationship: the fact that Egelhoff spoke out publicly against Montag's extensive plastic surgery.

Montag says she feels like her mom sold her out, and the show's psychologist, Dr. Debbie, asks her mom how she feels about that.

"I was just desperate to communicate with her in any way and I just thought that was the only way I could do it. I would do anything to be able to take that back," Egelhoff cries.

Press play on the clip above to find out how Montag responds to the revelation in the first big group therapy session breakthrough.

The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition also features other well-known pairs including Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards and her daughter Kimberly; teen bride Courtney Stodden and her mother; Kevin Federline's ex Shar Jackson and her daughter; Bad Girls Club star Natalie Nunn and her mom; and Playboy model Jessica Canseco and her daughter.

The show premieres Tuesday, March 1 at 10 p.m. on Lifetime.
