AKM-GSICan you believe it? It's already been a year since Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris sparked their adorable romance!
Yes, on Feb. 24, 2015, the country-turned-pop singer met the international DJ for the very first time while attending the Elle Style Awards, and we can ultimately thank Ellie Goulding for that.
According to one Instagram user, he actually caught Goulding introducing Swift to Harris while backstage at the awards show last year, and he even has the photo to prove it!
"#tbt Last February's #ellestyleawards when I snapped @elliegoulding introducing @taylorswift to @calvinharris for the first time (with a cameo by @samsmithworld)," the user wrote. "Happy anniversary, you two kids! 2/24/15 #taylorswift #calvinharris #elliegoulding #samsmith."
As you can see from the photo, Swift dons the gorgeous emerald green and black gown we simply adored last year, listening intently to Goulding who appears to be saying something in Harris' direction...perhaps the moment before she introduced the destined-to-be couple?
Fast forward a year later and the duo are happy and in love and giving everyone some serious #RelationshipGoals.
In fact, after Swift took home three Grammy awards (including one for Album of the Year), Harris couldn't help but gush over how proud of he was of his girlfriend.
"Congratulations to my beautiful girlfriend," Harris wrote beside a photo of the singer on stage accepting her award.
She, too, ended up posting an adorable photo of the two of them together at an after-party (he was unable to make it to the show as he was working on his own music), kissing his cheek as they hung out with some friends.
According to an eyewitness, Taylor arrived at HYDE nightclub with Calvin, Lorde and, even the duo's matchmaker, Ellie Goulding. "She was super social, saying 'hi' to everyone throughout the party. They hung out in the main dance floor area for a bit at a table before making their way to the VIP section in the back."
The insider also noted, "Calvin was overheard talking about how proud of Taylor he was." Swift and her beau also shared "a kiss here and there," but just "the way they looked at each other said it all."
