Levi Johnston took to Facebook Tuesday to announce that after spending seven years and "around $100,000" in legal fees, he and ex-fiancée Bristol Palin are "successfully co-parenting." Levi did not detail the specifics of their arrangement, though he did admit to owing "some back child support" and added that he has "always been there" for Tripp, 7, and his two daughters, Breeze Johnston, 3, and Indy Johnston, 13 months, with Sunny Oglesby, his wife of three years.
In less than 24 hours, Levi deleted his Facebook post.
Following his announcement on social media, Bristol shared a cryptic quote via her Instagram Wednesday that read: "Always be careful of what you hear about a woman. Rumours either come from a man that can't have her or a woman who can't compete with her." Hours later, she posted an Instagram picture of herself posing with Tripp and 2-month-old daughter Sailor Grace Palin (whose father is Bristol's ex-fiancé Dakota Meyer, a former Marine and Medal of Honor recipient). "These babies are my world and I will always be doing what is best for them. Every child deserves two loving parents, so I will continue to encourage that no matter what. I have never, and will never, keep them from having a positive relationship with their fathers," she captioned. "I did not 'lose' any custody case - my son has always spent most of his time with me and he will continue to do so, he is happy, healthy, and knows both of his parents love him."
Bristol ended her post by referencing a Bible verse, Matthew 5:11.
Levi, meanwhile, has yet to publicly respond to Bristol's Instagram post.
In his since-deleted Facebook post, Levi offered support to dads who are fighting for custody of their kids. "I want to say that even though fathers in this country don't usually have the upper hand in court, I encourage every father to never give up on fighting to keep their kids in their life," he wrote. "It's always worth it." Now, he added, "Life is really looking up for our family."
